For a patient with no known comorbidity (having answered “No” to all four questions above), a body mass index (BMI) greater than 30.00 is required. According to the guidelines, patients with a BMI below 30.00 without comorbidity are not eligible for medical treatment for obesity.
For patients who answered “Yes” to one of the four questions above and have been diagnosed or treated for one of these comorbidities, the BMI result must be above 27.00 to be eligible.
If your result does not correspond to the criteria indicated, there's nothing to stop you from modifying your lifestyle habits. You can also take advantage of our partner services in nutrition or kinesiology.
